The City of Henderson Kurt R. Segler WRF project included 17 thousand square feet of newly constructed concrete for the new air control system and filtration basins. The existing odor control system was placed into operation in March 2006 as part of the facility’s Phase III Expansion. A study was commissioned and completed July 7, 2010, which recommended replacement of the system. The concrete was sand blasted, and it was determined to have CSP-5. The basin walls were resurfaced and ready for primer application. Raven 155 was added during the concrete resurfacing process to serve as a densifier. After achieving a CSP 3-4, Raven 175 was used to prime the concrete for epoxy application. Raven 405 was then applied at 125mils dft. After a successful coatings installation, further inspection and approvals occurred for complete project installation.
