Description of Application
The two siphon chambers were in poor and failing condition with severe spalling. This project presented an extreme case of concrete deterioration. The structure was failing and very dangerous. Another challenge presented was a hazardous working environment; high amounts of hydrogen sulfide gasses were present. As well as air conditions, the structure had to be fully rehabilitated under live flow conditions. Lyttle Utilities restored the deteriorated structure to “like-new” condition through structural rehabilitation with Quadex Alumaliner. The structure was then lined with Raven 405 Epoxy. After final treatment, a Holiday test was performed in front of the county inspector.
